The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program (TPP) is designed to enhance the awareness of teen pregnancy within the Southeast Asian community. The program also works on building youth leadership skills, decision-making skills, and parent-youth communication skills. This program is designed to allow youths to lead group-initiated events giving them the opportunity to learn and teach about teen pregnancy prevention while improving their leadership and decision making skills. This program is a collaborative between Southeast Asian Community Council, the Association for the Advancement of Hmong Women in Minnesota , and Lauj Youth Society. This program is also contracted with Asian Media Access to provide a media outlet for the collaboration. |

The goals of the Tobacco Free Youths Program is to create activities that attract Southeast Asian youth to build networks with other local and national efforts in addressing, educating and creating awareness in the community about tobacco usage among Southeast Asian youth. Through these initiatives youths create leadership advocacy groups to deal with cultural, social, and political tobacco usage with intra-groups and inter-groups. |

The Chemical Free program reaches out to the community to talk about and find solutions for individuals and families who may be or may become chemically dependent. This program includes both youth and adults. The program works with focus groups to address chemical dependency within the Southeast Asian communities. We also work with licensed practitioners on individual cases. |
